PROP A: Create a $300 million affordable housing bond (March 2024)

SAN FRANCISCO LOCAL MEASURE

Proposition A would allow San Francisco to authorize $300 million in bonds to construct, develop, acquire, and/or rehabilitate housing, including workforce housing and senior housing, that will be affordable to households ranging from extremely low-income to moderate-income households.

San Francisco severely lacks affordable housing. In order to address homelessness, we need to get to the root of the issue: high cost of rent. Our city has one of the highest average rent rates in the country and developers mainly focus on building more market-rate and luxury housing. But in order to make sure working families and low-income residents can afford to live here, we need to pass Prop A to acquire and build more affordable housing. Vote YES on Prop A.
