Matt Alexander (November 2024)

We’re endorsing Matt Alexandar for the Board of Education. With over 2 decades of experience as a teacher and principal in SFUSD, we trust that Matt has the skills and leadership to make sure our K-12 students and families in San Francisco have an ally on the School Board. 

Some accomplishments that Matt has made as Vice President of the Board of Education include: 

• Giving SFUSD educators the largest raise in history
• Ensuring language access for all families in SFUSD by working with immigrant parents to write SFUSD’s first-ever policy on translation and interpretation
• Co-authoring the Student Success Fund, which passed with 78% of the vote and is now bringing in $35-60 million annually to support whole-child community schools (which work closely with teachers, students, and families to create improvement strategies)

We follow the leadership of Coleman Action Fund – who works with students in the K-12 school system – for our Board of Education endorsements.
