There is a lot at stake in the presidential election. After just one term with Trump as president, we nearly lost what remains of our democracy. We saw the end to Roe v. Wade, increasing barriers and even criminalization for people who seek abortions. We saw hate crimes skyrocket after the president continually used anti-immigrant and xenophobic rhetoric to scapegoat our communities for crime, job shortages, and the COVID-19 pandemic. We even saw an unprecedented threat to fair and democratic elections with Trump challenging the election results when he lost and supporting an attempted coup. We cannot afford to give Trump another chance to destroy our communities and our democracy. 

A second Trump term would be even worse than the first. Trump’s playbook for if he wins the election, Project 2025, outlines plans to: 

• Severely restrict access to abortion nationwide
• Target immigrant communities with mass deportations and end birthright citizenship for the children of immigrants
• Cut off voting access for millions of people
• Erase any mention of gender, race, and systemic oppression in classrooms. This future is one where people of color and working-class communities would face even harsher oppression, criminalization, and erasure

We must defeat Trump and his authoritarian, white supremacist, anti-2SLGBTQIA+ and anti-immigrant agenda this November.

While we are supporting Kamala Harris for President and Tim Walz for Vice President, we also support the efforts of activists who are calling for Vice President Harris to support an immediate ceasefire and end the U.S.’s financial support of Israel’s military that has led to the ongoing genocide happening in Palestine today.
